Virtual Cross-Cultural Workshop Bosnia & Herzegovina & Youth Leadership Conference 😀

On July 22nd, in the Hollywood Hotel, our journey began. 

10 young people from 7 Youth Banks from Bosnia and Herzegovina stayed in Sarajevo for 8 fantastic days, respecting all measures in order to prevent the spread of the virus Covid-19. Young people from Georgia and Abkhazia were with us throughout the conference. 

Unfortunately, we couldn’t get everyone together at the same place, so we worked and got to know each other in a slightly different way.

During the conference, we met each other, talked about culture, we heard about some new habits, rules and situations in other countries. We learned about communication skills and learned about the culture of Abkhazia and Georgia. What made me especially happy was that everyone was in a good mood, they wanted to learn something new, they wanted to work but also to have fun. We had small disagreements in some situations, but that was normal and there were no major problems. We have written 5 great projects together, we are waiting for the results now and the realization of our ideas in all 3 countries.

During free time we had the opportunity to visit the Trebević mountain, go to the pool and enjoy movies at the open-air cinema.

The team is great, we had fun, we worked, we got to know each other better. My team from Bosnia and Herzegovina ( Helena, Elvir, Ahmed, Siniša, Alen, Katarina, Eldin, Ermin and Marina) is fantastic, I am proud of all of them, they have great ideas and they are really amazing people. 

I would like to thank the organizers of YouthBank International, the Mozaik Foundation, the Europe Foundation from Georgia and the Alert Organization from Abkhazia who, despite everything, managed to organize this online conference. We were not deprived of socializing learning something new with people from Georgia and Abkhazia. Regardless of the current situation caused by the virus Covid-19, this was fantastic. 

Thanks to the organizers, to participants, to my team from Bosnia and Herzegovina, to teams from Georgia and Abkhazia and thanks to everyone who were a part of this. I am proud of all of us, my stars! 🌟❤
