Assistant Position in Economics

The International University of Sarajevo is an English language instruction university focused primarily on teaching. The Department of Economics and Management at the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) invites applications for the position of Assistant in Economics. Currently, our aim is to form a pool of qualified candidates for the potential position at the Department starting from September 2024.

The application should contain:

• A cover letter including motivation for joining our Department  
• A current curriculum vitae;
• Academic transcripts confirming the eligibility for the position (taken courses related to the call, the grades, and CGPA);
• Two reference letters;
• Other relevant documents (optional).

Minimum criteria:

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree (240 ECTS or equivalent) in Economics or a related field (expected graduation in June/July is also acceptable);
• Minimum CGPA of 8/10 or 3.5/4 or equivalent; and
• Good command of the English Language.

Main responsibilities: 

• Prepare and perform tutorials under the supervision of the course holder, mostly for Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Statistics.
• Assist the full-time faculty in preparing the scientific teaching process. 
• Assist the full-time faculty in the organization of all forms of student assessments; 
• Carry out the consultations with students; 
• Perform other duties in compliance with the University's Statute and other bylaws.
